Members choose my reads for an entire week

So.... First up I'm just going to throw this out there... why am I putting myself through this???

I'm too much of a mood reader to be giving you all full control of my reading habits. I almost can't cope!

ALMOST.....

So it's wrap up time !!

Let's just jump right in and say I SMASHED THIS challenge. I read 3 books in 4 days.

You all voted on these three books so let's talk about what I thought of each and why I think you SHOULD or SHOULDN'T read these...

The Inheritance Games* - By Jennifer Lynn Barnes

So I went into this with a very open mind as I've heard nothing but great things about this book and series. I can confirm I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It was fun, fast paced and mysterious. It reminded me so much of the movie 'KNIVES OUT' (if you haven't watched it I urge you to. It's such a fun murder mystery.

I ended up rating this a 3.75 (maybe 4) out of 5. It was a very easy, young adult read packed full of puzzles, mystery and intrigue. A little far-fetched at times of course but I think if you love a murder-mystery YA... you should pick this up!

Prisoner* - By Ellie Kent

If you love a short dark romance GO READ THIS ! It's wild! I absolutely loved King & Puck. So I can't wait to continue reading this series! The FMC is average to me personally but if I'm being honest with you all and myself... I don't read this type of book for the FMC hehehe.

I've rated this 4 stars out of 5. It was a lot of fun! It was spicy, dark and rather delicious.

I tend to read DARK dark romance books so please do your research on any DR book I recommend to see if it is your thing!

Can't Spell Tea Without Treason* - Rebecca Thorne

DNF (Did Not Finish) at 50 pages.

honestly, when I found out it was a cosy fantasy I thought, aw how cute, i'll enjoy this easy read... nope!!
The author I feel tries way to hard for it to be cosy. It was all forced and the pacing was all over. Really not my vibe at all. Every single little detail I felt was over explained and just YAWNNN.

This may be a me thing as I looked at some reviews and some agree with me but a lot of people absolutely love this.

---

So.... Since I DNF'd one of the books. I asked you all to choose a letter. You all chose by majority the letter "D".

I then picked up Death Of A Bookseller* - Alice Slater

This I absolutely loved but I think it's a book that would easily receive hate. Hear me out okay?!

So I rated this a 4.5 star and I just honestly loved it. Yes I hated the main characters but that was the point! I really felt going in blind really helped me enjoy this. It's very character driven with the faults of the characters being the main vibe I guess.

It's a slower paced book with no action but honestly, the characters had great depth. You could really tell the author used their own experience of working in retail, especially a bookshop to write this book. It was funny, it was dark, it was gross at times and I just honestly wanted more.

---

I think I've rambled on enough but let me just summarise this up...

I was so worried going in to this challenge as I'm too much of a mood reader to be told what to read... however, this was SO MUCH FUN! Thankyou for joining in on my challenge. I was going to buy myself a book if I completed the challenge but I recently treat myself so I'm counting that as my reward.

You all can expect some more challenges like this and If you would like to join in on one or take inspiration and do one yourself - FEEL FREE! But let me know I would love to know how you get on !

Let me know below if you enjoyed watching & reading about my progress in this challenge and if you have any ideas for the next challenge.

Stay Hidden !
