Throne Of Glass// Part Two

Throne Of Glass// Part Two

I'm back with Part two of my Throne Of Glass deep dive - exclusive to members only! Take a look behind the curtain that is my wild brain on my re-read of my favourite series. If you need to catch up click here to read PART ONE

As always, there will be spoilers ahead so please only proceed if you've read them all!

Let's just jump straight it ...

1) I love all of this that I've highlighted. I think it's one of the first times we see Celaena open up and speak about how she's feeling and hints at what she's been through. Talking about how music makes her feel. I loved this. It was a great insight into her early one and a somewhat foreshadow to who she's to become? I don't know ... maybe huh.

2) I CANNOT stand Perrington. He's a perverted so-and-so. This may become apparent as I get into more annotations. He is a seedy man. I picture him as an old chubby balding man (think of Epstein)

3) I made this note because I really wanted to remind myself of how cunning Kaltain is/was and how much I love her on my re-read. She's so smart and underrated. Just knowing what will become of her breaks my heart. It's funny really as on my first read through i couldn't STAND HER! I mean she was alligned with Perrington but I think on my first read through I didn't realise just how much she used him ... silly past Chris eh.

4) This deserved a special mention because, we've all been there.

1 & 2 ) are the same scene tbh, But I just had to highlight how much of a dram queen Chaol is in this book haha - I swear I love him but I just can't help but laugh at some of his actions. He should have ended up as Celaena's Gay Best Friend. He's so dramatic.
There was a competitor found dead and he storms into her rooms and begins to accuse Celaena. Like, I know she's an assassin but some of the other competitors are known and described to be dangerous. Like... come on CAIN!!! ha!

3) I really had to highlight this as it's a glimpse at the true Dorian. So far we've saw him be an arrogant prince that is well known to be a womaniser... but deep down he doesn't just want any woman. He wants a woman that matches his intellect and spirit. Not just a woman in the court. Excellent foreshadow for Manon considering she is more likely to break him... MIND AND BODY HAHAHA!

.

1) Chaol and his turmoil breaks me. Seeing Celaena and Dorian together on the balcony and seeing himself as lesse makes me sad. He's EVERYTHING. Poor chaol. JUSTICE FOR CHAOL.
I don't ship Chaol/Cel or Dor/Cel (partial to a bit of Chaol/Dorian of course) but imagine if Celaena and Chaol were endgame. Just take a moment to imagine what the story would be like. Where would Rowan fit into it. If Chaol ended up being her mate somehow.

2) Once again bringing up Chaol ha! He wears jealousy well.

3) JUSTICE FOR NEHE!! Poor Nehemia & Eyllwe. Also... the slavery camps (Callaculla & Endovia) are giving major conentration camp/nazi vibes from World War 2... does anyone else pick up on this ?

1) Of course there's more Perrington hate ha!! He really doesnt deserve my energy

2) This really needs addressed! It's mentioned multiple times throughout the book that Cain seems to be soemhow growing. Getting wider and taller. In a world where magic is impossible why does no one question this ! haha. It's laughably annoying!!
